Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple 3 - Post #2

Hey Everyone!  I'm back again to show you more of my card creations for the Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple 3.

Today i'll show you the creations I made for Day 5 & 7.  If your confused on why i'm skipping days, the class is set up to show a new technique on 1 day and then on the following day, they show new creations using the same techniques taught the day before.

For Day 5 its all about Background in the Foreground.  I was completely drooling over Laura Bassen's card when creating the masked background.  She show cased her 'signature' plaid background and I'm so glad she created a video show casing this because i'm in love with her plaid cards.

So I tried to come close to her amazing design and this is what I created:

I really love how this card turned out.  I'll be using this technique more often, for sure!  I also used some Imagine Crafts Shimmer Spritz...totally forgot that Distress Ink reacts with water and I got a few splatters in the bottom left but I was totally ok with the look.  It adds such a nice shimmer to it.  

Ok, so now onto Day 7.  It was all about Creative Coloring and it was totally up my alley, as I love to color.  Kristina Werner always amazes me.  SO i'm using the card she created as inspiration for the card that I created.  

Its so simple but yet so perfect! I added some black lines around the card as the plain white card was just too plain for my liking and I think it was the perfect touch to this card.

Online Card Class - Clean and Simple 3

Hey Everyone!!

Tonight I'm working on my 'homework' for the Online Card Class - Clean and Simple.  I'm so incredibly behind on class but I'm trying to catch up before the wrap up day of class.  YIKES!

So for day 1 of class, I'm using the technique of Faux Layered Die Cuts.  Here is the project that I created using this new technique.

I used Glossy Accents over my ink splatters and I think it really makes the splatters look wet and real :) 

For Day 3, we learned some new techniques that were totally inspiring!  LOVE these classes and I think i'm hooked for life.  Jennifer McGuire's technique of Masking was just mind blowing!  So I just had to use the technique to create the card. Here is my interpretation: 

I used the Masking technique with the Kelly Purkey Teardrop Stencil.  Just LOVE how this one turned out!

Scrappy Moms March Release - Day #2

Hey Everyone!  Happy Monday...today is really gloomy and rainy here in Florida so what better day then to create :)

I'm here for Day #2 of the Scrappy Moms Stamps March Release.  If you missed my last post, here are the new adorable stamps that were released this month!

So today, I'm here to showcase For Peeps Sake Stamp Set.  I'm just LOVING this stamp set and its just so perfect for Easter :)  

So here is the card that I created for today: 

I managed to snag Easter Anya during a flash sale that The Greeting Farm.  I colored her with my copics and think she is just darling! Add in sequins, pattern paper from Everyday Eclectic from Echo Park, and this VERY fitting sentiment by Scrappy Moms and this is my card :)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - March Week #4

Hello Everyone and Happy Sunday!!   Its my week on Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge and this week its a Designer Draft.

Here is the Designer Draft that we are using for inspiration: 

I recently got the Cuteasaurus Stamp set and have been itching to use it but needed the right card for it.  And for this Draft, I was totally envisioning using this stamp set.  And I totally did not notice till just now that I used the same colors that are on the card of the sketch! LOL  So here is the card that I created: 

I colored the adorable dinosaurs with my copics and decided to pop up certain parts of them.  On the blue dino, I colored and popped up the head AND on the green dino, I popped up her orange bumps. The foot prints are stamped in VersaMark ink....I just wanted them to show up slightly.  I really love how they turned out! You can get a closer look at the pictures below:

And that is it for my project!  I hope that you guys enjoyed this card.  I really had a TON of fun creating this card ((I actually got to create this card with Savannah, our design team coordinator, as she lives about 5 minutes down the street from me!! Scrappy Moms March Release - Day #1

Happy Friday Everyone!  Hope its been a fantastic day for you all and you have great plans for the weekend.

Today is the day for Scrappy Moms Stamps March Release.  Mel and Tammy have released 2 brand new stamp sets and some new magnets to use on your project!  I cannot wait to try out these new magnets on future projects.

I really wanted to use my Distress Markers so I decided to create the card below.  I think the rainbow of colors will bring a smile to anyone's face. 

I love the look of watercoloring and how it gives a totally different affect/look than coloring with copics.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Hope you guys are having a great start to your week!  I've been enjoying the last few days with my best friend of 14 years :)  She came down and spent a few days with us and Kirie and its been absolutely fantastic.

For this weeks challenge its titled All that Glitter.  I absolutely LOVE the look of glitter ((I don't use it often because of the mess that it normally create but I still love the look of glitter.   So this challenge was a great reason for me to break out some of glitter.

Here is the card that I created below:

I really wanted to create the look of Sun Rays but didn't have a die to use (I didn't even think to use my silhouette to find a cut).  So I decided to free-hand the rays.  Are they perfect?...good gracious no!  But I love how they turned out.  My 'blue sky' is created using a variation of Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  To complete the card, I used this perfectly fitting sentiment from Scrappy Moms "Spring Fling" stamp set.

Scrappy Mom's TTC - Green and Gold!

Hello Everyone and welcome to another Scrappy Mom's Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge!

For this weeks challenge its all about Green and Gold.  And when I think of green and gold in the month of March...I think St. Patty's Day of course :)  So here is the card I created for this weeks challenge.

I used The Greeting Farms Good Luck Anya digi stamp...I just LOVE her little top hat!  I colored her with my copics, which I admit have been neglected recently and I had so much fun coloring her I may just color for the next month straight!

Some gold glitter paper, a recollections glitter dots, and my sentiment from Spring Fling and my card is complete!  I really love how this card turned out!
