Hey Everyone! Hope that you've had a fantastic week.....this is our home has been a bit crazy as the hubby has had the flu all week long. Kirie and I have been keeping our distance to try and avoid the bug :)
I'm so excited to be here today to showcase 2 brand new stamp sets being released by Scrappy Mom! Check them out below:
These 2 sets are just absolutely ADORABLE! and I could not wait to create with them! For today's project I'm showcasing Catch the Reading Bug! stamp set.
I'm a TOTAL book worm and I love to just get lost in a good book....although I am currently only enjoying toddler books with Kirie :)
I don't have a bookmark and thought it would be fun to make one so that I wouldn't have to use bobby pins (they are always on my night stand! LOL).
I used some of the newly released magnets released by Scrappy Mom's to create this book mark. It clamps around the pages so that the bookmark doesn't fall out and you lose your spot (which happens to me All the time!)
I have a video on how I made this bookmark that will be posted here soon!
Be sure to check back for more projects featuring these 2 new stamp sets. I'll see you back here soon!

Butterfly Reflections, Ink Sketch Challenge!
Hey Everyone! I'm excited to be taking part in the sketch challenge at Butterfly Reflections, Ink Blog today!!
I decided to focus on just one paper pad for my card and just mix up different patterns and colors of paper. I absolutely loved the watercolored flower sheet and knew I just HAD to use it! I decided to cut out a few of the flowers to accent my super bold sentiment (from my new favorite stamp set). And as a final touch, I added a few enamel dots!
My card for today feature My Mind's Eye Honey 6x6" paper pad, Paper Smooches Bold Buzzwords Stamp set, and My Mind's Eye enamel dots (all of which can be found in the store!)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - Week #5
Hello Everyone! Hope that you've having a great weekend!
Today its Week #5 for the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge. And that means its an Anything Goes week :)
In the card making community, there has been a lot of watercoloring going on. And I honestly LOVE the look of watercolor, and you can obtain the look so easily with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink (whether its with ink pads or markers).
I paired up Scripty Sayings with my watercolor background to create a simply and classy "Thanks" card. Here is the card I created:
**I won't be as active on the blog this week, as I'm working on 60 baby shower invites for a family member. I have tons to do and will be focusing on that for the rest of the week.
See you back here soon!

Avery Elle Challenge #3
Hey Guys....are you sick of me yet?!?
I'm back again today with a card that I'm entering for the Avery Elle Challenge #3.
For this week's challenge, its all about Ombre or Gradient effect.
I just recently got the "Circle It" Stamp set and decided this was a great time to use it. Paired it up with some ZING embossing powder and this is how it turned out:
I really love how Bright and Fun the embossing powders are and they worked great with the stamp set!
Be sure to head over to the Avery Elle Challenge blog to play along with this challenge!

The background of my card is used with a stencil called "Repeated Hearts" and some Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I then created the "pocket" for my mints by scoring some kraft card stock to fit the mints just right. Added twin and some wink of stella clear on my sentiment and hearts and this card is complete.
I really hope that you guys have enjoyed the release! You can purchase the new products at the Scrappy Moms Store.
See you back here soon!

Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple 3 - Post #2
Hey Everyone! I'm back again to show you more of my card creations for the Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple 3.
Today i'll show you the creations I made for Day 5 & 7. If your confused on why i'm skipping days, the class is set up to show a new technique on 1 day and then on the following day, they show new creations using the same techniques taught the day before.
For Day 5 its all about Background in the Foreground. I was completely drooling over Laura Bassen's card when creating the masked background. She show cased her 'signature' plaid background and I'm so glad she created a video show casing this because i'm in love with her plaid cards.
So I tried to come close to her amazing design and this is what I created:

I really love how this card turned out. I'll be using this technique more often, for sure! I also used some Imagine Crafts Shimmer Spritz...totally forgot that Distress Ink reacts with water and I got a few splatters in the bottom left but I was totally ok with the look. It adds such a nice shimmer to it.
Ok, so now onto Day 7. It was all about Creative Coloring and it was totally up my alley, as I love to color. Kristina Werner always amazes me. SO i'm using the card she created as inspiration for the card that I created.
Its so simple but yet so perfect! I added some black lines around the card as the plain white card was just too plain for my liking and I think it was the perfect touch to this card.
So that's it for now for my show casing cards created for the Clean and Simple 3 class. Check back in soon for more creates for Scrappy Moms March Release and more cards for Online Card Class.
See you soon!
