Scrappy Moms May Release - Day #1

Hello Everyone and TGIF!!!  Lots going on around here so I'm going to keep this post short, sweet and to the point :)

Today,  you are getting a preview of 2 brand new stamp sets being released by Scrappy Mom's!!  Mel and Tammy have been creating adorable stamp sets each month and this month is no exception.  Check out the 2 new sets below:

For today's project, I'm going to be featuring Countless Occasions!  This set is a must have in your collection as it has a sentiment for just about every Occasion....this one will definitely getting plenty of use from me :)

When I saw the Tooth Fairy Sentiment, I knew that I wanted to pair it up with a cut file that I had purchased quite a while ago in the Silhouette Store.  At the time it was too cute to pass up, now I'm glad I purchased it when I first came across it.  You can find the file HERE.   This kit comes with everything you need for a tooth fairy kit but I'm only using the small pillow box, the pinked circle with 'tooth fairy logo', and the money pocket with tooth & wings cutouts (the size adjusted to fit my card).

I think that any little kid would be excited to find this little envelope with some money for their tooth under their pillow.

Hope you guys enjoyed this project!  I'll be back on Monday with another project for the Scrappy Moms May Release!

Enjoy your weekend!

Scrappy Mom Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Summer Here We Come!

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday!!

I've been busy at my crafty desk creating projects for the next 3 weeks while our goods are being packed, transported, and unpacked to our new home in New Jersey :)

If you are new to my blog, Welcome!!  I'm so glad you could stop by and see my creation.  Its the 3rd Tuesday of the month and that means its time for a Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge.  If you haven't joined in before, head over the the Scrappy Moms Blog to join in on the fun and play along!! TTC, as we like to call it for short, happens on the first and third Tuesday of each month.  You can also view all of the amazing designs created by our amazing design team over at the Scrappy Moms Blog and join in the challenge for your chance to win a Scrappy Mom's Stamp set of your choice!

Now, for this weeks challenges it all about Summer Time!!!  I know that in some parts of the States it may be a wee bit chilly still and thats why this challenge is titled "Summer Here we come!"  I'm seriously looking forward to some COOLER summer weather up in New Jersey :)

Enough jibber-jabber from me....onto my project for this challenge.

For my card, I decided to try something TOTALLY new for me....Watercoloring a stamped image!  I know...totally crazy, considering I've had my Tim Holtz Distress Markers for about a good 6-8 months now!  I decided to take the plunge and try it out so this coloring is FAR from perfect but I really LOVE the outcome of it and the way that the watercolors worked!  I'm sure I'll be using these much more in the future.

I'm pairing up The Greeting Farm "Rain Snow Shine" stamp set with Scrappy Mom's Beach Bums Stamp set.  I kept the card pretty simple as I didn't want to over do it and I wasn't prepared to take away from the colored image after I spent quite a bit of time on it. HAHA

Hope you guys enjoyed this project!  We would love to have you join in on the challenge over at the Scrappy Mom's Blog.  ((all the information regarding the challenge is listed on the blog))

I'll be seeing you guys here real soon!

Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge - April Showers brings May Flowers*

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday!  I'm still currently at Disney with my family but will be back home soon! :)

Its the 1st Tuesday of the month and that means it Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesday Challenge.  If you haven't joined us before, please join in on the fun of the challenge!  We'd love to have you play along with us :)  TTC, as we call it for short, happens on the first and third Tuesday of each month.  Be sure to check out the Scrappy Moms Blog to see the design teams great projects and to enter in on the challenge to win a Scrappy Moms Stamp Set of your choice.

This weeks challenge is titled "April Showers bring May Flowers" and its a flower themed challenge!  We'd love to see what you create using flowers on your project!

For this challenge, I used a brand new Stamp set (to me) from Avery Elle and its so fitting for this theme.  Since mother's day is rapidly approaching, I thought I'd create a card to send to my Mom :)

I stamped all of the flowers and leaved individually and then fussy cut them all out.  I wanted them to surround the oval on the front of the card.  Looking at it now, I wish I would have used a scalloped oval to really frame the cut out but there is always next time.

My mom absolutely adores flowers and has a beautiful garden....I'm sure this will put a big smile on her face for Mother's Day!

And as a special treat, I have a video showing how I created this card below.

Butterfly Reflections, Ink -- "You did it"

Hello Everyone!  Today I'm back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Blog page.  You can head over to the blog by clicking HERE.

For today's project, I've created a very bright and fun " You did it!" Card.   These are always great for a variety of different reasons; Graduation, Promotion, Winning a Sports Game, or perhaps getting a good grade on a special school project!  Can never have too many of these cards in your stash :)

The first thing I did was find the center of my patterned paper.  ( I'm using the Simple Stories DIY Boutique 6x6" paper pack.  Its currently out of stock in the Store, however, the store is always being restocked with items and new items are added regularly so any pattern paper will do!)

I then stamped my greeting in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with some black glitter embossing powder.

Next, I die cut several stars from the pattern paper and used it to make the 'o' in YOU.  I used a some extra stars to accent the sentiment and covered them in Glossy Accents.

Added some faux stitching and attached the pattern paper to my card base and the completed this simple card!

Hope you guys have enjoyed this card.  You can view the supplies used on this card below and clicking on them will take you directly to them in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Store.  As I mentioned,  the Simple Stories DIY Boutique paper pad is currently out of stock so you will not see it linked up below.

I'll see you guys back here tomorrow with a special treat of a video with my project!

See you then!
